HyperCV is live — because job searching deserves better tools

I've been on both sides of the hiring table.

I've written CVs late at night for roles I genuinely wanted — copy-pasting bullet points, second-guessing every line, never quite sure if the version I sent actually matched what the company was looking for. And I've reviewed hundreds of applications where strong people undersold themselves by sending a generic document that didn't speak to the job at all.

That gap bothered me. So I built something.

What HyperCV does

HyperCV runs a three-pass pipeline on your CV:

Tailor — Takes your master CV and the job description. Selects, reframes, and restructures your experience to match the role's actual language and priorities. Not a find-and-replace. A genuine rewrite of emphasis.

Critic — Scores the result across five dimensions. Tells you exactly where you're strong and where you've left gaps. No vague feedback — specific, actionable, honest.

Refine — Uses the critic's output to close those gaps and amplify the strengths. Iterates until the score crosses the threshold. If it doesn't, you know why.

The output isn't a generic "improved CV." It's your experience, reframed for that specific role, with a score that gives you a real sense of where you stand before you apply.

Why I built it now

I've wanted to build this for a while. What made it possible now is that AI is finally good enough to do the rewriting without inventing experiences you don't have — which is the line you can never cross.

The critic pass is what makes it trustworthy. Without it, AI CV tools are flattery machines. With it, you get a genuine signal: is this CV actually competitive for this role, or does it still have gaps?

The score threshold (≥ 8.0 before you can share) exists for the same reason. I didn't want a tool that makes people feel better about a weak application. I wanted a tool that makes the application actually stronger.

Who it's for

If you've ever:

  • Spent 2 hours rewriting bullet points for a job you really wanted
  • Sent an application and wondered if your CV even matched the job description
  • Had strong experience but struggled to communicate it in the format recruiters expect

This is for you.

What's next

The core loop is working. Next priorities:

  • Master CV wizard — a guided onboarding that builds your master CV from scratch if you don't have one yet (already shipped)
  • Saved CVs — keep every tailored version so you can track which positioning worked
  • Stripe is wired for the Pro plan when you need more than the free tier
